1890's-1900's Blouse (GNBL) - Part 3 of 4

Using Truly Victorian’s 491 or 494 or Folkwear’s Gibson Girl blouse or your favorite 1890’s-1900’s blouse pattern, join us for a four part Victorian blouse/shirt waist workshop. Using the pattern you have selected, we will custom fit your pattern, help you lay it out to the best advantage on your fabric and guild you through the sewing process, fitting you along the way. We ask that you let us know what pattern you are planning on using before the class, so our staff can be  ready to assist you right from the start. We can also answer any questions you have in advance concerning the amount of fabric and types you will need.

Most of these blouses can be made in light weight cottons, cotton blends, lawn, voile, batiste, light weight linen and shirt weight silks. Most of these patterns call for an inner bodice which can be made from a cotton blend broadcloth, light weight linen or polished cotton. If your pattern does not call for a fitted inner “waist”, but you would like to make it in a period manner, you will need approx. 1- 1 ½ yards of fabric for the inner fitted “waist”.

Fee: $150 or $125 for CGW Members (membership will be checked)
