By popular demand we are offering millinery classes taught by our very own Mela Hoyt-Heydon. 

This is an Introduction to Hat Blocking class and is for beginners or someone who needs a refresher. 

In this two-day workshop, students will block and finish one straw pillbox style hat. Mela will walk you through the process from start to finish, including: manipulating the straw on wooden hat blocks, finishing hats to the appropriate size, and a variety of trimming techniques.

All materials to block and trim your hat are included in the price of the class.

Class time: 5 hours per class including lunch, 2 sessions                        

Maximum class size: 8 people

Supplies needed: Materials are included but you should bring your sewing kit.

Prerequisites: Basic machine and hand sewing         

Fee: $175.00 for 2 sessions and supplies
