Every woman looks great in a dress that flairs out from their waist and falls below their knees. We will start by making a toile (a muslin fitting) for the bodice to get the perfect fit.

After correcting your pattern to fit you, you will cut, sew and refit your dress so that when you insert the zipper and finish the hem, your dress will look ten times better than anything you can buy at the store.

Class time: 2 sessions, 6 hours each class with lunch          

Maximum class size: 8 people

Supplies needed: 4-5 yards of cotton woven fabric NO KNIT, matching thread, one 22” or 24” long matching zipper and a basic sewing kit of shears, seam ripper, pins and chalk. All other materials provided.

Prerequisites: Introduction to the Sewing Machine and Beginning Sewing or basic sewing skills
